Polkadex and OnFinality Strengthen Partnership
Partners since October of 2021, Polkadex and OnFinality have found new ways to collaborate
After originally partnering in October of 2021, Polkadex and OnFinality have continued to strengthen their relationship during the past few months. Thanks to a partnership which began with OnFinality’s one-click node deployment, the Polkadex network is now also benefitting from OnFinality’s API services and additional infrastructure built to make the Polkadex network more reliable and scalable.
What does OnFinality bring to the table this time?
On top of its one-click validator deployment feature, OnFinality is now providing additional services for Polkadex network participants. Network participants can now connect to the Polkadex network via an OnFinality full node. This full node adds an additional layer of redundancy to the network which improves reliability, decreases any potential downtime, and provides a fast connection to the network. For example, should the Polkadex team’s fullnode go offline at any moment, network participants will be able to connect to the Polkadex network via an API running a network of shared Polkadex public nodes.
The OnFinality API service is live and is already making network participants’ lives easier. On March 27, OnFinality’s Polkadex API surpassed the 1 million daily requests milestone for the first time.
OnFinality has also provided the Polkadex team with access to a monitoring dashboard which allows the team to gain valuable insights into the network’s usage over time. On top of that, OnFinality continues to collect network metrics and data to help the network scale.
Why are these products useful for Polkadexers?
OnFinality’s services help new network participants join the Polkadex ecosystem by providing a free API service and one-click deployable nodes to reduce barriers to entry. The additional redundancy and scalability provided by OnFinality makes the Polkadex network even more reliable and lightens some of the load of running the network from the community’s and the Polkadex development team’s shoulders.
OnFinality’s services also make conducting any kind of testing of the Polkadex network easier by providing valuable data back to the community on how nodes are running and scaling as the network traffic increases. This is key for an upgradeable network like Polkadex, especially as we get ready for major network upgrades (like Thea), and releases (like Polkadex Orderbook).
OnFinality’s infrastructure tools and services are intended to make running and participating in decentralized networks easier, while saving developers valuable time. Thanks to OnFinality, the barriers to participate in the Polkadex network are lower and the reliability of the network is higher.
