Polkadex makes a big splash with TradFi at Digital Assets Week
CMO Kseniia Baziian represented Polkadex in London at the event focused on institutional adoption
Bringing institutional liquidity to DeFi has always been a major objective for Polkadex. While the Polkadex developer team is busy building the platform that will make this possible, the business team is connecting with traditional finance and institutional players. That’s one of the reasons why Polkadex CMO, Kseniia Baziian, participated in London Digital Assets Week in late October.
Not only did Kseniia meet a lot of representatives from traditional financial institutions interested in DeFi, she also introduced them to Polkadex with a presentation on the future of trading and the advantages and disadvantages of decentralized exchanges (DEXs). Kseniia also participated in a discussion on the ‘Current state of DeFi’ with representatives from Shapeshift, Sienna Network, Fireblocks, and TriliTech. She made remarks on the need for compliance in order to welcome institutions to DeFi and massively scale the decentralized exchange model. Kseniia also mentioned Polkadex’s decentralized KYC approach and how it aims to allow Polkadex to remain compliant while tending to the trading needs of institutional investors and the masses.
Overall, the conference marked Polkadex’s first physical events appearance in a long time, and was a chance for the team to foster closer ties with traditional finance players interested in digital assets. Polkadex will allow institutions to participate in DeFi while staying compliant without sacrificing functionality. With that in mind, it is important for the Polkadex team to nurture the relationships with institutional stakeholders in order for them to participate in the platform. Therefore, activities in which we share the Polkadex vision and the team’s expertise with members of the TradFi industry are critical to the development and overall success of Polkadex.
After the interest gathered from other Digital Assets Week participants, the Polkadex team is already looking forward to their next event, wherever it may be!
